Ingredients :300ml (1/2pt )water (approx)
1x 5ml (1 tsp ) sugar
450g (1 lb ) wholemeal flour
2x 5ml ( 2 tsp ) salt
25g ( 10z ) lard
15g (1/20z ) fresh yeast
How to make:1. Activate the yeast in 150ml (1/4pt ) of the water with the sugar. Mix the flour and salt and rub in the fat.
2. Add the yeast mixture and remaining water and mix to a fairly soft dough, adding more water if necessary.
3. Beat and knead well and divide into 10-12 portions. Shape into rolls on a greased heat proof glass flan dish. prove on proof cycle for 30 minutes (40 degree celsius, 30 minutes). place on low rack.
4. Bake for 11-15 minutes on SIMUL (DUAL) CONVEC (on 220 degree celsius microwave MED-LOW) until brown.
